Senior Social Media Content Specialist
Job Description
As a Social Media Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing creative content across our brands' social media platforms, with a focus on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Your main goal will be to develop engaging, innovative content that resonates with our target audience, drives brand awareness, and enhances engagement. You will work closely with the team members and other departments to ensure our social media presence is cohesive, on-brand, and aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Strategy:
Develop, plan, and execute high-quality social media content, particularly focusing on Reels and short-form video formats.
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to strategize and plan monthly content calendars that align with brand goals.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and insights to create content that is relevant, engaging, and innovative.
Assist in creating content for events, roadshows, influencer visits, and other brand-related activities.
Contribute ideas for IG Stories, Reels, and other social content formats that boost engagement and reach.
Community Engagement:
Monitor and engage with community interactions across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, maintaining the brand’s voice and tone.
Implement strategies for growing and nurturing online communities.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyse content performance to understand what resonates with the audience.
Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data to optimise future content.
Assist in developing monthly reports on social media performance, including competitor analysis.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, sales, design, and other teams to ensure content aligns with broader marketing campaigns and business goals.
Coordinate with external agencies and freelancers as needed to support content creation efforts.
Support & Development:
Support the Social Media Manager/other team members in the development and implementation of social media strategies.
Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging social media platforms, tools, and trends.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing ideas and best practices with peers.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in social media content creation, preferably within the service industry.
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, or related field.
Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia (spoken & written); proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Strong skills in content creation, with experience in using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple brands or clients simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for social media.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, discipline, and a proactive approach to handling feedback.
Experience in managing social media shoots and working with influencers is an advantage.
